Prayer for the Festival of Life 2019

Father of life and source of all good, we wish to thank You because
You have created Community Cenacolo through Mother Elvira’s “yes.”

Thank you for these 36 years in which Your Mercy
has worked the miracle of bringing new life to so many hearts.

Lord, during the days of the “Festival of Life” send your Holy Spirit like a waterfall down upon us.
Your Spirit gives us the courage to proclaim and the joy to be witnesses.

Mary, Mother of Cenacolo, pray for us and with us.

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles ( ACt 3, 1-4 )
“Now Peter and John were going up to the temple area for the three o’clock hour of prayer
and a man crippled from birth was carried and placed at the gate of the temple called “the Beautiful Gate” every day to beg for alms from the people who entered the temple.
When he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked for alms but Peter looked intently at him, as did John, and said, ‘Look at us.’”.

From the Apostolic Exhortation of Pope Francis to the youth
Certainly, as members of the Church, we should not stand apart from others. All should regard us as friends and neighbors, like the apostles, who “enjoyed the good will of all the people” (Acts 2:47; cf. 4:21.33; 5:13). Yet at the same time we must dare to be different, to point to ideals other than those of this world, testifying to the beauty of generosity, service, purity, perseverance, forgiveness, fidelity to our personal vocation, prayer, the pursuit of justice and the common good, love for the poor, and social friendships.

From Mother Elvira’s Catechesis
The Lord continues to invite us to His table. He invites all sinners, He invites us. The only true title that we can boast about is our sin. This unites us and makes us brothers: being sinners. How beautiful! A priest told me: "Do you remember that guy you met so many years ago? Today I am a priest, I am still a sinner, but I am happy.” Do you know what advice I gave him? Try to remain a sinner! Remaining a sinner means needing God's grace. The day we feel different, that we have arrived, we no longer live Jesus’ healing. To you priests in love with Christ I say: stay at the foot of the Eucharist because the whole world travels there! If we really want to know the essential reality and be aware of the current problems of the world, we must read them before the Eucharist: Your story and the story of the whole world travels there. I hope that everyone can see your reality as priests of Christ.

Our Father/ 10 Hail Marys/ Glory Be

- Prayer to Mary

“Here we are Mary, we are with you!"

Mother of waiting, who seeks with your heart, with your gaze,
with your tears your lost children in a world that has abandoned God.
We thank you because your love has brought us here to bring life, hope, joy and faith
to many young people and to all those who seek truth, forgiveness and peace.
We entrust ourselves to you, our most beloved Mother,
so that you can educate and form each one of us in listening to the living Word, yor son the Risen Jesus,
so that one day we will be together in the Kingdom of light and salvation.
Here we are Mary, we are with you today and forever!
